SAS Netball Club Tournament 2008

After weeks of bad weather we were so very lucky to have good weather all day which made for some fantastic netball, once again 42 teams participated in our 2nd netball tournament in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire on the 30th August 2008. We had teams based in various areas around the country including Southampton, SE London and Billericay in Essex.

It was great to have some new teams entered this year and there were many very competitive games in the first few rounds, the matches heated up as we went through to the knockout rounds and on to the quarters, semi's and the finals of both the cup and plate. There were many local teams represented in both the cup and plate sections.

It was Luton Golds, Academy, Blades & Tongham in the Cup Semi Finals, Academy and Blades sailed through to the final while Connexions & Microtec were in the plate final. The cup final was between Academy and Blades with Academy once again being overall winners of the tournament and Microtec won the plate competition.
